Launched in October 2010 by the California Community Foundation (CCF), the Black Men and Boys (BMB) Initiative is designed to create opportunities that better integrate young black men and boys into the economic and social mainstream and reduce levels of persistent underachievement and dependency on public systems.

The Advisory Committee is composed of prominent individuals representing a diverse range of sectors in the community. As a member of the Advisory Committee Dr. Swinger will provide guidance and input to CCF during the planning phase of the initiative.
